Overview
The Tourism Guidance department is one of the three scientific departments at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels (SCU). The department targets graduate students skilled with multiple knowledge related to Egypt's history, antiquities, and civilization over eras. Students can guide tourist groups in antiquities and tourist areas and in Egyptian museums to cope with touristic labour market needs. In addition to, the total awareness of the touristic knowledge that allows them to work in the tourist industry.
The department gives attention to lingual preparation. The department's academic program includes second language courses like (Deutsch- French- Spanish- Russian- Chinese).
The scientific department organizes the students' multiple civilian visits and scientific trips throughout the whole academic year. Moreover, by the end of each academic year (July- August) the department organizes summer training. The department seeks to offer graduates job opportunities by preparing an annual employment fair that gathers various companies in the Canal and Sinai regions.

Mission
Qualifying a graduate can serve and improve the tourist labour market upon scientific specialized bases and rules committed to the profession's manners and ethics. Moreover, prepare researchers specialized in history and antiquities sciences. In addition, serve the society in the Canal and Sinai regions by offering consultations and services in the touristic guidance field and adopting assessment and continuous development guidelines.
