Suez Canal University Continues to Empower Its Students: The Sixth Employment Forum at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels Brings Together Leading Tourism Institutions to Prepare Youth for the Job Market
As part of its commitment to community support and preparing its students and graduates for the demands of the labor market, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Suez Canal University organized the Sixth Employment Forum on Thursday, May 29, at the faculty premises. The event was held under the patronage of Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of the University, with general supervision by Dr. Dina Abu El-Maati, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, led by Dr. Nevine Galal, Dean of the Faculty, and executive supervision by Dr. Samar Mohamed Mosleh, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, with follow-up by Dr. Aya El-Mahdy, Director of the Alumni Follow-up Unit at the Faculty.
This event reaffirms the university’s developmental role and its dedication to implementing the state’s vision of youth empowerment by equipping them with the skills and opportunities needed to enter the job market with competence and confidence.
The forum witnessed the distinguished participation of 25 entities representing a selection of the largest companies, hotels, and tourism restaurants operating across various governorates of Egypt. These entities offered a wide range of training and employment opportunities targeting the faculty’s students and graduates, providing them with a unique chance to engage directly with employers and gain insight into the real needs and expectations of the job market.
The forum also saw strong engagement from students and graduates, who showed great interest in the opportunities presented and actively participated in direct meetings and mini-workshops—clearly reflecting their awareness of the importance of early career preparation and serious involvement in professional life.
The faculty administration emphasized that the forum is the culmination of ongoing efforts to bridge academic curricula with practical reality and to strengthen collaboration with institutions in the tourism and hospitality sectors. The goal is to enhance graduates’ competencies and enable them to compete effectively in both local and international job markets.
On the sidelines of the forum, preliminary agreements were reached to sign two cooperation protocols—one with a distinguished hotel in Ras Sudr and the other with the TEDA hotel group in Ain Sokhna. These agreements aim to enhance training and employment opportunities for the faculty’s students and expand partnerships with tourism and hospitality institutions, contributing to the development of students’ skills and preparing them for efficient integration into the workforce.
The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Suez Canal University affirms its ongoing commitment to organizing impactful events that support the university’s strategy of building professional cadres capable of keeping pace with the rapid changes in the labor market and actively contributing to the sustainable development goals pursued by the state. The faculty will continue to provide all forms of support and care to students and graduates, empowering them to become true partners in the advancement of Egypt’s tourism sector.
